Pathways Native Arts FestivalPathways Native Arts Festival Aat Buffalo Thunder Resort, August 20–22

Santa Fe, NM – The Pueblo of Pojoaque’s Poeh Cultural Center, with the support from the Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino, will launch Pathways Native Arts Festival from August 20 through 22, 2021, providing a needed venue for up to 500 Native American artists.

Dates and hours of the market/festival will be:

    • Friday, August 20:
      9:00 am – 6:00 pm
    • Saturday, August 21:
      9:00 am – 5:00 pm
    • Sunday, August 22:
      10:00 am – 3:00 pm

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder, 30 Buffalo Thunder Tail, off US Highway 285, Santa Fe, New Mexico. This market is open to Native American artists and vendors from all US tribes and will feature two tiers of booths. Free booths will be available for artists who want outdoor tented booths. The premium booths, available at minimal cost, will be set up inside the Buffalo Thunder Conference Center. Artists can apply here.

A ticketed VIP Preview Event will be hosted at the Resort on Thursday evening with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment. Roxanne Swentzell (Santa Clara Pueblo) will be a featured artist.

“We are thrilled to celebrate our resilience this past year as we begin to advance Native artistry and creativity. Pathways will feature artist booths, live music, and amazing food all in the kind of event that is fun, personal, and free. This past year we have promoted staying connected virtually with free workshops, classes, artist masks, artist grants, and online markets – but now we hope to reconnect with our Native arts community,” says Karl Duncan (Arikara/Hidatsa/Mandan/San Carlos Apache), Executive Director of the Poeh Cultural Center.

Food booths and restaurants will be available to market attendees, and a lineup of Native entertainment is scheduled throughout the weekend. Parking will be free and plentiful. Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino is located 15 minutes north of downtown Santa Fe on tribal lands.
